As the core sectors fell into chaos, an uneasy truce between the major powers in the distant Sew and Nowtyra sectors preserved order and stability. By relying on each other, these powers resisted the onslaught of pirates and warlords that had ravaged the majority of the core regions, avoiding the collapse that consumed much of humanity.
As the Alliance of Farum-Nataar (AFN) emerged to rebuild humanity, its influence began to spread outward, eventually reaching the outskirts of the Sew and Nowtyra sectors. War seemed inevitable. Yet, to the surprise of many, the AFN initiated diplomatic talks, forming the Terrium Council,. However, negotiations soon broke down. The Council’s demands soon became unreasonable—such as curtailing weapons manufacturing and reducing standing forces—were seen as one-sided, making compliant states entirely dependent on the AFN for protection. Accusations of subjugation disguised as diplomacy began to surface.
Fearing for the safety and sovereignty of their people, the Kingdom of Isnoria and the Nizkoren Monarchy acted decisively. Rampant military recruitment and industrial expansion formed the backbone of a union that would become the Coalition. Declaring the Sew and Nowtyra sectors independent of all tyrants, they vowed to defend their autonomy at all cost.
Shortly after this declaration, waves of former pirates and warlords descended upon the sectors, said to be fleeing the AFN’s advance. Those that had abided by the Council’s decrees were left defenseless as the AFN failed to deliver on its promise of protection. Now once-thriving regions descended into chaos.
The Coalition, however, did not stand idly by. Declaring themselves the last guardians of sovereignty and freedom, forming the Coalition Defence Initiative (CDI). Their forces mobilized, pushing back against the unwelcome tyrants, liberating those who fell under their rule. The strength of the Coalition grew as the liberated joined their cause, swelling their ranks with resources, manpower, with determination to see the AFN’s downfall.
What the AFN had thought would subjugate the outer sectors instead forged a juggernaut whose might now rivaled their own. Now, as the Coalition’s influence expands, its people stand resolute—ready to face any threat, whether human or alien alike.
For their mission is clear: none shall oppress their people as long as they draw breath.

The Coalition of Sew-Nowtyra has firmly positioned itself as a major player on the galactic stage, seizing the opportunity to unite the sectors surrounding Swe and Nowtyra. Their deepening distrust of outsiders, fueled by what they perceive as the unjust actions of both the Terrium Council and the Alliance of Farum-Nataar (AFN), is best articulated by the founding head of the CDI, Dr. P. Kresowin:
“The Coalition will stand defiant against all tyrants who dare make a mockery of our people, bringing chains under the facade of freedom and unity.”
While initially aimed primarily at the AFN, this sentiment grew to encompass all whom the Coalition — particularly the CDI — deemed a threat to their way of life.
The Coalition’s dominion over its surrounding territories solidified during the Conterian Illuminate Conclave’s sudden invasion of human held space. This crisis prompted an emergency summit of top CSN and CDI officials, who declared a swift and decisive response to the alien invaders. Admiral Stefan Mirok of the CDI’s Rapid Response Fleets captured this newfound resolve in his statement:
“Once again, the Coalition and the CDI stand on the frontlines, defending the freedoms of not only our people but all of humanity, while the so-called defenders of liberty stand idly by, waiting for humanity to fall to its knees, begging for mercy at the hands of these filthy animals.”
Following this pivotal moment, the Coalition’s approach to warfare shifted from a predominantly defensive posture to a proactive, “Strike-First” mentality, further escalating tensions with the AFN. Yet, amidst the ongoing turmoil on the frontlines, the Coalition’s directive remains clear:
“The freedom of our people has no price.”
